This is a juried show open to CPSA District Chapter 212 members and non-members. Submission deadline for this is September 10, 2008. An Artists' Reception will be held October 18th from 6-8pm.

Pencil Persuasion: Colored Pencil Juried Exhibition, Spring 2009 - CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS THROUGH 1/9/09
Tohono Chul Park, Tucson, AZ
March 12 - May 17, 2009
Open to all Arizona artists, this is a juried exhibition of colored pencil works that are at least 75% colored pencil, with some mixed media allowed. Work may include wax-based, oil-based and water-soluble pencils and sticks. Graphite pencils and solvents are acceptable. Other media such as pastel, watercolor, acrylic etc. can be included as long as at least 75% is colored pencil. Download the prospectus and submission form.

Saturday, October 4, 2008, 1-4pm
At this meeting, we will discuss news from the CPSA National Convention in Seattle. We will also carry on our popular raffle/silent auction of donated products and samples we received at the CPSA annual convention from generous sponsors such as Prismacolor, Derwent, Canson and others. The Raffle and Flea Market raise some money for our Chapter 212 treasury. This and our annual dues help us get a start on the funds we use for our exhibitions and prizes, to reimburse outside speakers, pay postage and more. If you have any pencils, papers, brushes, paints, pastels or any supplies (art or pretty much anything else) you are willing to part with, please bring them!
